an update

i am finally getting there. today i have added the two side pieces of calico-mortar...
i went on line to see if i could find a quilt like mine, and there wasn't one. there are
some more hearts to sew on and i am doing this soon. first i want to finish sewing the
front part. and have found something for the backing i think. although i love this
thought: mortar spread evenly all over the back of my brick wall. which will mean
pure calico giving it a nice finish. so, where's the hod? if my english serves me correctly
this is the word i will need.

twelve rows now an happy with the result

i am aiming for twenty rows of bricks to begin. originally i saw a lap quilt measurement
for 52x62 ins from the head to here is just a metre (39 ins) an i haven't measured from side
to side because there will be an edging like the top row. to make the length fifty two ins
i think i will need another eight or nine rows. as i have most of the bricks cut already it
shouldn't take too long now the weather is better.

I love your comments and am not too busy to reply.
